It used to be that people showed a great deal of respect for elders. The forms of etiquette were stricter, and very important in personal relations. The thing was delicate (“La cosa era delicada”). “It has changed a lot, everyone is forgetting the old traditions.” (“Ha cambiado mucho, todos estan olvidando las tradiciones antiguas.”)
